Arbor Snowboards Signs Colleen Quigley

For Immediate Release

Venice, California (10/22/04)--Arbor Snowboards is proud to announce the addition of East Coast ripper Colleen Quigley to its Ambassador Team.
She joins an elite group of riders representing Arbor Snowboards, including Rob Kingwill and Mike Basich.

“ Arbor is a great grassroots company,” says Quigley. “They make amazing boards. I also feel really good about riding for them because Arbor contributes to good causes like the non-profit American Forests program. They have an incredible team and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

Colleen grew up in Groton, Massachusetts, but relocated to June Lakes, California for winters. This fall the 20 year old began her freshmen studies at the University of Vermont in Burlington.

After the fall, she’ll return to the West Coast to ride June and Mammoth Mountain, plans on competing in this season’s major contests, and also shooting for her video part in the upcoming Misschief Films all-girl snowboard movie.
Colleen Quigley is sponsored by Eastern Boarder, Monix Industries, Is Design, Nikita, Grenade Gloves, Gallaz Shoes, Waterville Valley, White Flag, and Ass Industries.

“ Arbor is super-proud to have Colleen joining the family,” says Arbor Snowboards Co-founder Bob Carlson. “She’s an amazing rider who brings a ton of good energy and skills to the team. Her input will be key as we continue to develop and expand our line. Colleen will spearhead the evolution of Arbor’s new Stance – a women’s specific jib/rail-oriented twin. She will also be helping us develop a new women’s specific freeride board for 05/06.”

Her other sponsors also agree that Colleen brings a lot to the table. “CQ seriously shreds the rad,” says Jessie Cohen, PR for Deep Distribution/Nikita. “She’s an East Coast bandit, and can hit street rails, kickers, and ride the u-hole with style and awesome aggression. She's young, incredibly talented, and very well liked in the industry.”

The editors of snowboard magazines have also noticed Quigley. “Colleen is not afraid to step up to street rails and loves tooling around the park,” says Susie Floros, Snowboader Magazine’s Associate Editor. “She’s intelligent and has a vibrant personality.”

Arbor Snowboards has been in the grind since ‘95, feeding diversity with an alternative line of boards that stand alone as truly different. Arbor’s long-standing mission is to improve board durability, performance, and style through unique natural materials, proven construction methods, and truly original designs.
